ln August 1889,Mengzi Customhouse was established.
ln September 1992,Hekou Border Economic Cooperation Area was established.
ln November 1992,Mengzi Economic Development Zone was listed among the provincial economic development zones.
ln 1993,two national Grade ll ports,Hekou and Jinshuihe,were opened successively.
ln July 2003,the construction of Honghe lndustrial Park,one of the provincial industrial arks,was started.
ln August 2006,the construction project of "china Hekou international Port Beishan Area" was started.
